Indian Premier League is one of the finest leagues in T20 cricket. There are only 18 days left at the start of the new season. Before this, RCB got a major blow in the form of Will Jacks because of his injury against Bangladesh, and the physician suggested Will Jacks to take rest, and that’s why he has taken his name back from the upcoming edition of IPL.
Bracewell is currently part of the New Zealand squad for the second Test against Sri Lanka. He has also been selected for the ODI series against the visitors, but after his selection in the IPL, he will not be able to play the ODIs; thus, Rachin Ravindra has been selected as his replacement in the ODI squad.
England’s Will Jacks was recently injured on the Bangladesh tour. RCB included him in their team by spending a hefty amount of Rs 3.2 crore in the auction. After his exit, RCB included Michael Bracewell in their team for a base price of 1 crore. Bracewell had attracted the attention of all the franchises by playing a blistering inning of 140 runs on the tour of India.
Bracewell has played 117 T20 matches so far, scoring 2284 runs at an impressive strike rate of 133.48, including 1 century and 13 fifties. Bracewell has also taken 40 wickets during this period, of which 21 have come in T20 Internationals.
There are only a few days left for the start of IPL 2023, but before that, Royal Challengers Bangalore made changes in their team. On Saturday, 18th March, RCB announced that Will Jacks had been ruled out of the tournament ahead of the start of the tournament with injury, and New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell had been named as his replacement. Bracewell recently rocked the bat and ball in the ODI series against India. RCB will play their first match against 5-time champions Mumbai Indians on 2nd April.
